friday. some guy at the parts store i talk to alot told me about a twin turbo sitting in a garage that had a blown motor. so i went to check it out, and when i looked at it i was amazed. perfect grey cloth interior, good bright red body except for a dent in the drivers side fender, brand new chrome wheels and falken z-rated tires (the guy had the reciepts for the rims that cost 2600$), he even had reciepts for the dealer installed new turbos that were only 10k miles old. the only problem was the front end was submereged in water for a few seconds and the motor sucked water up and shattered a piston? or slung a rod or somthin. anyway the body trans and all the parts and wheels were worth what he was asking...2500$!!. so now I have a project tt and im pulling the motor as soon as i get a hoist. then ill know if i need a new shortblock or if i can rebuild the old on (fingers crossed). i just hope the water didnt hurt the turbos.............oh and by the way i drove it onto the trailor, it runs but makes a horrible knocking noise from the passenger side. overall i think it was worth the 2500$. so now i have a n/a 2+2 and a broke tt :)
